Sliabh Aughty Ramble: Musings on the folklore, history, landscape and literature of the Sliabh Aughty Region Ger Madden's latest publication the Sliabh Aughty Ramble provides a much needed publication on this geographical region. The Sliabh Aughty covers over 250 square miles, and is one of the largest mountain ranges in Ireland, but 'one of the least known'. (Madden, 2010). This wonderful book provides much needed views of this hidden landscape with historical entries arranged in calendar form for each day of the year.
